Activities & Initiatives

We continuously develop Comprehensive Training Material for all the students at Parul University in English Language Proficiency, Quantitative Aptitude, Soft Skills Training, Personality Development, Interview Techniques & Career Planning. Parul University has introduced mandatory Career Development Courses as part of its mainstream curriculum in all of its faculties. Career Development Centre also organizes Debate Competition, Elocution Competition, Public Speaking Contest etc. to hone communication skills of the students. Till date, Career Development Centre has worked hand-in-hand with Training & Placement Cell to make Parulites employable and skilled to embrace confidently the challenges of Corporate World. Apart from helping them in cracking Recruitment Tests, CDC has also introduced them to the world of Competitive Examinations. Moreover, CDC members also organize Teacher Training Workshops, Faculty Development Programmes regularly to enhance the Teaching Skills of the Faculty Members and to promote Innovative Teaching Methods among its Faculty Members. Introduction of Career Development Courses as part of Mainstream Curriculum in many faculties has received favorable response from the student community. Activities undertaken by Career Development Centre at Parul University Campus to Corporate Event under which students learn English and Mathematical Aptitude, Presentation Skills, Group Discussion, Resume writing, Mock Personal Interviews Career Development Cell also offers Vocational courses on Foreign Languages: French and German and Vocational courses on IELTS and English Speaking It has its own, one of its kind Movie Club and Mass Communication Club where one can learn English with fun Professional Expertise Hub: for learning employability skills Faculty Development Programs

Enroute to Employability

Enroute to Employability: A Mega National Event Organised by the Training, Placement and Career Development Cell at Parul University. A convergence of CEOs, CHROs, Presidents, VPs from Top notch MNCs and speakers from academia to generate outcomes in terms of policies and practices in conjunction with an action oriented dialogue on Employability: Dimension, Issues & Challenges and Action Agenda for Heightened Employability Quotient. The event hosted 30+ Eminent Speakers and 300+ Industry Delegates.

Workshop on “Edmodo and Kahoot as Applications for Language Teaching”

The state level workshop on "Edmodo and Kahoot as Applications for Language Teaching" counducted by Career Development Cell and Parul Institute of Arts on 12th to 13th July, 2019. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ankitkumar Patel on the topic like Edmodo, Kahoot etc.

Women's Day Celebration

On the occasion of Women’s Day, Career Development Center organized three events in collaboration with Parul institute of Engineering and Technology – Elocution,Essay and Mime on the topic Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace: Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal. The events were coordinated by CDC faculties. There was an overwhelming response from the students of Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET). The students excelled in the performance and gave their best. Top three winners were felicitated by prize and certification. And all the participants were given certificate. Expert judges were invited to judge the performances.

Workshop on Movie Review

CDC recently organized a movie review workshop for the students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, PIET and PIT. In this workshop, various educational short movies were shown to the students. They were then taught to review those movies and prepare a critical movie review report. The one week workshop helped the students to build their analytic skills and facilitate their listening and writing skills in English Language. All the faculties of CDC Department contributed actively to make the students acquainted with the review writing.

Workshop on Computer Assisted Language Learning

A workshop on Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) was conducted. During this programme meaning of freeware, shareware, and Creative Commons, and open source were explained.
