Seminar on Contemporary Issues of Constitutional Law

National Law Day (Constitution Day) is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution; it came in to effect on 26 January 1950.As a part National Law Day celebration, Parul Institute of Law organized a National Seminar on “Contemporary Issues of Constitutional Law” on 24th November 2018, Saturday. The venue of seminar was Central Seminar Hall (2nd floor) Central Admn. Building, Parul University. Hon’ble Mr.Justice Ravi Shukla, Retd. Judge Gujarat High Court and Former Member of Law Commission of India, was keynote speaker. Dr. Akil saiyed, Dean Faculty of Law and Dr.Devanshu Patel, President, Parul University welcomed Hon’ble Justice with Mementoes and book. Dr. Akil Saiyed gave introduction of the keynote speaker and the Institute. In his speech Hon’ble Justice covered various contemporary issues right from the Preamble and its importance, importance of Integrity, Triple Talaq, Secularism and many more. During interaction session, the audiences asked questions on various contemporary issues which were nicely addressed by the honourable speaker. Shri DV Patel, Judge Dabhoi Court, Adv. Ranjit Ratore, Member of Bar Council of Gujarat, Dr. Devanshu Patel, President, PU, Dr. Dr. HS Vijayakumar, Registrar, PU were the Guests.The attendees of the seminar were the Advocates from Gujarat High Court, Vadodara Dist. Court, Bhavnagar Dist.court, Anand Court. The Professors and Research Scholars of various Universities also attended the seminar. The seminar was concluded with the vote of thank by Seminar Secretary Prof. Hari Krishna Rajput.
