Visit to E – Plus Foundation

With all excitement the journey from Parul University started at 09:45 a.m. on 30th of March, 2019, with students of B.A. semester 4, Parul Institute of Arts & Parul Institute of Social work, to E – Plus Foundation at around 10:30am. They welcome us all with a very heart full feelings. The concept of Role of NGOs in CSR various policies, how NGO Agency work for other organizations, various activities conducted by them was explained by Mrs. YashaswiniTambe, Co-ordinator & Managing Trustee of E- Plus Foundation.Further, several tricks were discussed to make studentsunderstand the activities to be conducted of CSR in Public sector, Private sector & MNCs with the support of various examples.Then after they made us understand about various Programmes conducted by E – Plus Foundation.

Visit to Divya Bhaskar

The students of Mass Communication department, Faculty of Arts, Parul University visited the press Divya Bhaskar, Karelibaug, Vadodara for an exposure to the basics of printing press with the faculties – Assistant Professor Bilwada Baxi and Dr. Pallavi Dubey from the Mass Communication and Sociology department respectively.Students were briefed about the details of printing process like the printing towers, their capacity of printing and explained how the industry works 24 hours to deliver the newspaper to your doorstep.

Visit to News18

The students visited the office and studios of News18 Gujarati news channel in Ahmedabad with the faculties- Assnt. Prof.Bilwada Baxi, Assnt. Prof. Manisha Banani andAssnt. Prof. Ankita Purohit. The aim of the visit was to experience the studios, learn about the working of broadcast medium, how the channel works and prerequisites for entering the broadcast media. The visit concluded with interaction and a question-answer session with Mr. Sumesh Nair, HR team and few of the news anchors.

Visit to Radio City Station

The students of Mass Communication department, Faculty of Arts, Parul University visited Radio City station, Old Padra Road, Vadodara on 27thFebruary 2018(Tuesday) to get an exposure to the basics of radio broadcast and operations of a private FM with the faculties – Assistant Professor Akansha Kumar and Dr. Pallavi Dubey from the Mass Communication and Sociology department respectively.
We are thankful to Atik Khan, the programming director of Radio City for hosting the students and explaining them the important aspects of a radio station and RJ Jahnvi, popular Radio Jockey of Radio City who gave some important tips to students.
