Seminars & Workshops help the participants to get substantial information on a topic in a reasonably short period of time. They also help in creating learning communities that bring together students & faculties from likeminded interests.

ACIES : 2018

“Acies” was a joint initiative envisaged by Alumni, present students and faculties of various public health schools in India viz. Indian Institute Of Public Health (IIPH-Gandhinagar, IIPH-Delhi, IIPH-Hyderabad), AIIMS Jodhpur, Manipal University, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Swangi –Wardha, and School of Public Health, SRM-University, Chennai, Parul University, Vaghodiya, Vadodara. The purpose of this initiative was to ignite and sustain a vibrant networking among existing and future public health professionals.

​ACIES 2018 was the the 1st Annual National public health conclave with representation from academia, public health students, and experts. The conclave was graced by eminent public health specialists, National and international Organizations working in the field of Public Health in India and South-East Asia sharing their experiences and delivering the keynote learnings on issues relevant to Public Health.

Students of MPH & MHA courses at Parul University actively participated in all the events.

Workshop on Role of Essential New Born Care(ENBC)

CME-cum-Workshop on “Role of Essential New Born Care(ENBC) in reduction of Neonatal Mortality rate” was organized on 5th and 6th of March, 2018 by Faculty of Medicine. Students of MPH and MHA courses actively participated in the event. Eminent speakers like Dr. Narayan Gaonkar, UNICEF; Dr Nischall Bhatt (State President, IAP), Dr. Shikhar Jain, aminent Neonatologist from Choitram Hospital and many others. There were guest lectures followed by a Panel discussion. On the second day, hands on training on different components of Essential new born care for the Medical officers of PHCs, CHCs across Vadodara district was organized.

Workshop on Application Of Industrial Relations In Human Resource Management

The expert invited for the workshop was Mr. Dattatray Kokje,Ex- Director- Human Resources, BombardierTransportation India Ltd. He is having more than 36 years of rich experience in Multinational Companies.

Mr. Kokje focused on practical aspects of Industrial Relations that are useful in day to day life of HR specialist.It was attended by 72 Students of HRM Specialization of PIMR. After the theoretical aspects, Sir has asked students to do a role play on a theme.

Start Up

A team of budding entrepreneurs were invited by PIMR and Parul University. Mr. Ritam Bhatnagar focused on regional films whether Gujarati or Bengali. How they can be considered for a successful business model and how MBAs are needed to market these movies were discussed in depth by Mr. Ritam, founder director of “Freeway” Film Company. He worked as Executive Director for Gujarati movie “Kevi Rite Jaish” which was grand box-office hit.

Mr. Rajeev Pathak and Mr. Rohan Aggarwal explained their start up “Riimarks” which is a platform where academic writing is encouraged for students as well as academicians. Live cases can be developed under this platform and same can be circulated in academic arena for further discussion. Dr. Punit Garg introduced the concept of “Petsvet” where he being a veterinary doctor could work with his passion for a care for animals.

Mr. Yash Saxena threw light on the concept of startups with his own creation along with global trend while highlighting the need to implement same at college level with MBA students
