Gujcost Sponsored National Seminar on Pharma linkers: Bridging between Academia and Pharmaceutical Industry

Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Faculty of Pharmacy, Parul University, organized GUJCOST Sponsored, Two Days National Seminar on "Pharma linkers: Bridging between Academia and Pharmaceutical Industry" on August 30th -31st, 2018 in the University campus at Vadodara with focus on two separate worlds: Academia and Industry.
More than 170 delegates participated in the seminar. The seminar began with the Inaugural function on 30th August, 2018. Dr. Gaurang Pathak, General Manager, ICPA Healthcare Products, Ankleshwar graced the function as Chief Guest. The scientific session started with the talk on “Current development in Pharmaceutical industry and advances in technology” by Mr. Sunder Raj Manvi, Head, F & D, Alembic Research Center, Vadodara. He highlighted the novel technology used in the formulation development. Mr. Santosh Nair, Head, Placement Officer, Parul University has delivered a talk on Human resources’ in Pharmaceutical Company Compliance. Mr. Jimesh Shah (Manager, International Regulatory Affairs, Sun Pharmaceutical Ind. Ltd, SPARC Vadodara explained the importance and regulatory requirements for getting marketing authorization in different countries across the world. Second day of seminar witnessed two scientific talks in the pre-lunch session by Dr. Rajesh K.S Senior Manager –CQA, Cadila Healthcare who talked about very interesting topic “Enhancing Students Employability : Role of Industry & Academia” & Mr. Avinash Joshi Senior Vice President-Corporate Quality, Cadila Healthcare delivered a session on “ Pharma Corporate Etiquettes”. In post lunch Mr. Lokesh Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, URL Software Ltd. has delivered session on “Cloud Computing in Pharma Industry” who briefed about how digital can be used in pharma industry. The Seminar ended with the Vote of thanks presented by Dr. Dipti H. Patel, Associate professor, H.O.D., Department of Pharmaceutics, Parul institute of Pharmacy and Research and the Coordinator of the event.

Gujcost Sponsored National Seminar on Natural Products:Current Status and Future Scope

With a view to raise awareness about critical and current issues on medicinal plant research especially focussing on latest trend in bioprospecting of medicinal plants for making natural products, A GUJCOST sponsored one day National Seminar on “Natural Products: Current Status and Future Scope” was organized by Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research on 5.1.2019. Luminaries from the Pharmaceutical world along with students and research scholars from the field of Pharmacy participated in this national seminar. Dr.H.S.Vijayakumar, Registrar, Parul University addressed the gathering and congratulated the stakeholders of Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research for organizing this seminar. After the inauguration, there were three scientific sessions conducted throughout the day. The first scientific session on “Strategic Designing of Research on Medicinal Plants” was delivered by Dr. Mamta B. Shah, Head, Department of Pharmacognosy, L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad . The second scientific session on “Observations on Status and Research Avenues for Medicinal Plants” was delivered by Dr. Minoo Parabia, Former Head, Department of Biosciences and Dean, Faculty of Science, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. Prof. (Dr.) Sadhana J Rajput was the third speaker who delivered her talk on “Challenges in Standardization of Herbal Products”. The post lunch session included the Poster Presentation and Painting Competition. Dr.Tanvi Dodiya, Coordinator of the Seminar read the report and delivered vote of thanks. All the delegates, participants and stakeholders of Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research sang National Anthem in the end.

Seminar on “Redefining Nanotechnology: A New Vista”

A one day national seminar was conducted by Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Parul University on 10 th March 2017 with an objective to redefining the knowledge of nanotechnology aspects in pharmaceutical science. A total of one hundred thirty eight candidates were registered to attend the national seminar.

First the inaugural function was commenced where including President, Provost and Registrar, Parul University and the Chief Guest Dr. G.K.Jani, Principal and Professor, S.S.R. College of Pharmacy, Silvassa were present. It was followed by scientific session.

Seminar on “Gujarat State Pharmacy Council”

A two day refresher course was jointly conducted by Faculty of Pharmacy, Parul University and Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC) on 26th - 27th March 2016 with an objective to update the knowledge of registered pharmacist of Gujarat State Pharmacy Council. A total of two hundred candidates were invited to attend the refresher course for two days.
On Day-1, 26th March 2016 the inaugural function was commenced where including the Trustee, Provost, Registrar, Dean and the Principal the Chief Guest Mr. V. T . Shah President, Chemist and Druggist Association, Vadodara was present. It was followed by scientific sessions for next two days.

Seven different sessions were conducted in which speakers from diverse field were invited to deliver and share their experience with the delegates.Mr. Gilbert Macwan, Registrar of Gujarat state was invited as a chief guest.

Seminar on "Chiral Chromatography: Challenges & Opportunities"

GUJCOST sponsored seminar on “Chiral Chromatography: Challenges & Opportunities” was organised on 22nd January 2014 in Parul Campus. The Seminar was inaugurated by Mr.Bhrat Desai, Managing Director, Bharat Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd, Vadodara and he appreciated the theme of the conference and encouraged all the delegates for the taking up research in the field of Chiral Chromatography Analysis. Mr.Bhupat Vihol, Team Leader, Piramal Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Ahmedabad and Mr.Charudatt Mundhe, Managar, J.B. Chemicals Pvt. Ltd, Ankleshwar discussed the frontier technologies and analysis of Chiral compounds with details description about various stationary Phases and mobile Phases.
