Faculty of Pharmacy, Parul University hosted two days national student symposium Pharmafest 2020.


Pharmafest is a National Level Symposium which is an amalgamation of technical nontechnical sports as well as cultural fiesta. Faculty of Pharmacy, Parul University hosted the celebration of 11th year of Grandeur of Pharmafest 2019. More than 1150 participants from all parts of Gujarat were present and actively participated. The Inaugural function was graced by Dr Geetika Madan Patel (Medical Director), Dr. Komal Patel, Managing Trustee, Parul University, along with other dignitaries. Varied range of 17 different novel events such as Pharmattoo, Drug Autobiography, Vocal Cyclone, Loguiz, Pharma Vogue along with conventional events such as Innoveron (model), Hang it ( poster), Wrangle over (Debate), Ad mad show (marketing) and Mr.& Ms. Pharmafest. Nontechnical events include Pharmabuzz, Sports like Cricket, PubG, Tug of war and Box football and Kho Kho.

GUJCOST sponsored Two days National conference on NanoScitech: Frontiers and Challenges in Biomedical Sciences

A GUJCOST sponsored two day National Conference on “Nano Scitech: Frontiers and Challenges in Biomedical Sciences” was organized on January 3-4, 2019 by Parul Institute of Pharmacy. Dr.Debjani Singh, Vice President, Zydus Research Centre in Ahmedabad was invited as Chief Guest and also as an expert to conduct scientific session on “Industrial Perspectives of Recent Advancement in Complex Injectables”. The National Conference was attended by professionals from renowned pharmaceutical organization viz., Zydus Cadila Health Care, research scholars from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara and other delegates from reputed academic institutions. During these two days, various scientific sessions pertaining to the field of Bio-technology and Biomedical Sciences such as “ The Promises of Nanotechnology based Anticancer and Ocular Drug Delivery: Case Studies from India , Industrial Perspectives of Recent Advancement in Complex Injectables , Recent Trends of Self Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery system as Bioabailability Enhancement Approach, “Research to Revenue- Smart Way of IPR Management”, “Nano Size and Surface Characterization by Electron Microscopy” were conducted by eminent experts from the field of Pharmacy. A total of 40 different scientific discussions on Nanotechnology based Drug Delivery System and Its Application in Healthcare Field were held through Oral and Paper Presentations.


The most awaited event of the year for pharmacy students- Pharmafest was organized by Faculty of Pharmacy. It has been organized every year since 2009 to bring out students’ hidden potentials and creativity. The event encompassed 9 technical and 4 sports competitions going parallel at different locations over two days. The event was effective to attract as many as 900 participants. The Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean and Principal of both the colleges, faculties and participants, gracefully inaugurated the event in the form of balloon ceremony. The University received enthusiastic participation from student fraternity in the form of 50 poster presentation teams, 20 teams in Pharma Marketing, 23 teams in Pharma Rangoli, 28 Quiz teams and 39 teams for Pharma Recipe competition. Eminent Judges have evaluated all the teams precisely to select the best talents out of the pool of enthusiastic students.There were parallel sports sessions going on at the ground throughout the day. 21 teams of boys and girls cricket and 8 teams of boys and girls volleyball competed for semifinal and final round of the game. 4 technical and 4 sports events were conducted. In model competition, 24 models were showcased, out of which many were working models. At the same time, students exhibited their creativity at Pharma Documentary competition where 10 teams have participated. Pharma Painting and Extempore Speech competition was also running parallel in the college. The competitions were followed by cultural program in the auditorium to enliven the atmosphere. Students of Faculty of Pharmacy displayed their theatrical talents in this program. Cash prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of technical and sports events during valedictory function.

Conference on Particle technology with special emphasis on Nanotechnology

A two days National conference on particle technology with special emphasis on Nanotechnology was organized by Parul Institute of Pharmacy in 2011 with the objective of highlighting emerging fields of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. More than 11 experts and renowned faculties were invited to share their views and knowledge.
