Physiotherapy is a dynamic health care profession primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability and quality of life through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention. The field has many specialties including orthopedics, sports, neurology, cardiopulmonary, women’s health, geriatric & pediatrics. Physiotherapists practice in many settings, such as outpatient clinics or offices, health and wellness clinics, rehabilitation hospitals, research center, sports training center and many more.

Parul Group of Institutes started Bachelor of Physiotherapy course in the year 2009 and Master of Physiotherapy course in the year 2014 with Gujarat University and approved by Indian Association of Physiotherapists. Since the academic year 2015-16, Bachelor of Physiotherapy with intake of 100 seats and Master of Physiotherapy course with intake of 18 seats in 6 specialties are a part of Parul University which was established in the year 2015 under Gujarat state Private University Act 2009.

Master of physiotherapy includes following branches:
• Masters of Physiotherapy in Cardio-Respiratory Disorder
• Masters of Physiotherapy in Medical and Surgical Condition
• Masters of Physiotherapy in Neurological and Psychosomatic Disorder
• Masters of Physiotherapy in Community Rehabilitation
• Masters of Physiotherapy in Musculoskeletal and Sports

The Institute building has well ventilated Classrooms with LCD projectors, Seminar Hall, Library and well configured Labs with modern teaching aids for boundless learning and development of students. The library has good infrastructure, with journals and books on various subjects and current research. Here the MPT students work on the research to make life of people easier with each passing day. Ph.D programme will start soon in order to improve research in the Physiotherapy field.

The Institute has 450 bedded Parul Sevashram hospital and MOUs with more than 10 well reputed hospitals of Baroda would help in the betterment and wide clinical exposure for the students. Institutes also have all the latest diagnostic tools such as pulmonary function test unit, Electromyography- Nerve conduction velocity unit. Institute has 4 OPDs which has more than 300 patients per day.

Institute also organizes camps on frequent intervals at peripheral OPDs and at Parul Sevashram hospital where a large number of patients with different conditions come from the nearby villages. So students come across many patients with different conditions during the course duration.
