Student secured 2nd Position in DCB organized Hackathon

In its initiative to promote the development of financial technology for DCB Bank and its customers, DCB Bank organized ” DCB Bank Innovation Hackathon-2017″ with an aim to bring together entrepreneurs, start-up enthusiasts, education institutions, developers and designers to develop financial products or new technologies such as in Lending, Risk Management, Trading, Investing, Personal Finance, Big Data, Retail Banking, Regulatory Compliance, Mobile Payments, Security etc…Our two students- Arnold Panashe Mavhezha , students of 4th semester in CSE and Issac Maqueen Musungwa, student of 4th semester BCA participated in the said Hackathon and their prototype “Smata”, an intelligent personal financial assistant chat box, was awarded second prize in DCB Bank Innovation Hackathon-2017. DCB Bank has also expressed desire to work with these two students along with DCB Ban’s in-house team in developing Smata into market ready product.

Student of Parul University Petros Kanyama published a book

Petros Kanyama student of Parul University studying Bachelors of Business Administration published a book titled “JUST A THOUGHT”. He is also a celebrated blog writer who writes inspirational and motivational articles. He believes words can induce change globally and personally. Few books of Petros
are in pipeline and they may get published by the end of this year.

Student got 3rd position in Elocution at AIU youth festival

Mukawu Wilfred, a Zimbabwean student studying in Parul University, secured 3rd rank in the Elocution Competition held during “Samvet-2017- AIU West Zone Youth Festival” organized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Parul University is proud of the achievement of its student and this achievement proves that Parul University is committed to nurture the intrinsic talent/capability of its students and encourage its students in realizing their true potential.

Wayne Njobo stood third in public speaking contest organized by TOI

Wayne Njobo, an international student from Parul Institute of Law, secured 3rd Rank in the 3rd Round of Times of India Public Speaking Contest in Vadodara Zone. Parul University is proud of her achievement and wishes her luck for achieving success in all such competitions in the future. Wayne Njobo has also expressed her gratitude to the University for continuously providing her encouragement and platform to exhibit her talent.

Dissertation work at CSIR-CRRI, New Delhi (M.Tech Civil Engineering)

We are very glade to announce that one the our Ethiopian Student, Mr. Lenjisa Bedada Abera, M.Tech Civil(Transportation Engineering) is preferred by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research(CSIR) – Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), New Delhi to pursue his Dissertation work at CRRI, under the guidance of CSIR- CRRI Professionals.

CSIR-CRRI has a tradition of picking up the interns or students for dissertation work from the prestigious and renowned Institutes of India, Parul University is honored by providing such opportunity to their in-house International Students.

Student was showing his gratitude towards Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Parul University for their efforts in providing such opportunities.

International Students of Parul University attended an International Conference

International Students of Parul University attended an International Conference which was held at Ahmedabad on October 14,2017. 105 International Students of Parul University along with 7 Faculty members went to attend this conference.Students were very much grateful for the great support from Parul University for making them attend this International Conference.
