The prime objective behind the study of life sciences has been centred on ensuring and providing the highest form of human welfare towards the people and the community in general. This has been the purpose behind every scientific breakthrough and every innovative practice, to provide scientific solutions which build a better future for the people. The Faculty of Applied Sciences offers a three year Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Sciences which seeks to provide students with the most effective skillsets to innovate effective community based solutions. The program works on improving the wellbeing and welfare of families in various life related aspects such as Food Science and Microbiology, Human Development and Family Relations, Food Science and Nutrition, Family Resource Management. The Faculty of Applied Sciencs employs teaching methodologies which work towards improving the livelihood and the welfare of families towards the betterment and improvement of the overal communities. The students get to pursue this program under the guidance and training of expert faculties who get to learn and develop new avenues of family welfare. So as to prepare the students for their active engagement in the industry, the students are exposed to extensive practical research and field work practices which go on to shape their understanding.
