About Computer Engineering with Internet Of Things


The use of smart utilities and appliances is in a constant demand across the world, thus exploring the field IOT has become an inseparable part of modern innovation. To produce students with an in-depth expertise to this program, the Faculty of Engineering, department of Computer Science Engineering, provides a 4 year undergraduate specialisation in Internet of Things, which allows students to develop the basis of this field. The program is strategically designed to provide students with an understanding of the mechanisms of smart systems and technologies which make use of the virtual connectivity in their operations, from home, to office systems. As a way of providing students with the most enriching learning experience, the Faculty has a league of top notch faculties and experts  who go on to provide students with an in-depth academic and industrial understanding. Internet of Things focuses in creative innovations and the various ways in which utilities can be digitalised through smart technology, therefore there is a great need for students to gain an in-depth exposure to a practical learning experience through laboratories and industrial exposure.

Dharmik Savalıya, Computer Science Engineering Student was invited to San Francisco to attend the Facebook Developers Conference. He not only got an opportunity to interact with Zuckerberg, but also earned a scholarship worth $595.

Hackathon : Crime & Security 2019

Making use of Student Innovation to Combat Cyber Crime: With crimes taking different shapes and forms every passing moment, as a result of the ever advancing technology, the Vadodara City Police, in association with Parul University, took the initiative of organising a two day Hackathon on the subject of Cyber and Security. A group of 30 teams and 100 students took part in this 30 hour Hackathon, which was commenced on the 12th and was concluded on the 13th of September.

Microsoft .Net Technology

The department of Computer Science Application, organized a 10-day workshop on .NET technology. It was very significant in developing the students' basics from the experts regarding the vital elements of Microsoft technology. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Marmik Brahmbhatt, who is a Microsoft certified trainer and expert in .NET development.

Infosys visit

An industrial visit to Infosys, Pune was arranged by the Computer Engineering department to provide practical exposure to the students. The industrial visit was also aimed at strengthening the industry-academia ties. The industry academic exchange helped the institute and students to understand the demands of the industry. They also underwent a program called Spark during their visit to the Infosys campus.
