About Master of Arts in Business Laws#

The ever changing scope of the corporate industry has ushered in new streams and avenues of laws which seeks to regulate numerous corporate and business practises. It has become imperative for both legal experts and corporate parties to develop an understanding of the legal framework which governs the business sector. As a way of providing this much needed expertise, the Faculty of Law offers a one year Masters of Business Laws which seeks to provide the students with an indepth understanding of the corporate legal framework. The curriculum of this program equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the various elements of business laws and allied laws required to strengthen businesses and protect the interests of the commercial world. Through this program students will get to develop an indepth understanding of the Indian Legal System, Contract Law, Banking and Insurance Laws, Corporate Law (Co. Act, SEBI, Competition Act), Environmental Laws, Labour and Industrial Laws, Law related to Intellectual Property Rights, Taxation Laws, Law related to International Trade, Dispute Resolution Mechanisms and other Business Laws. The Faculty of Law is equipped with state of the art facilities which provide an indepth exposure into the fundamentals of business which prepares students for corporate legal sector under the guidance of expert faculties.

As a way of developing and nurturing the practical hands on training of the students, the Faculty of Law is equipped with a state of the art Moot Court, which replicates the Supreme Court setting.

Legal Aid Clinic

Due to its social orientation, the Faculty of Law has a designated legal clinic which serves a social cause by taking up legal cases pro bono for the development of the underprivileged classes

Sessions with High Court & Supreme Judges

The Faculty of Law provides regular sessions with sitting and retired High Court and Supreme Court Judges, who get to provide students with insightful legal knowledge which shapes their career.
