About M.Sc. Applied Mathematics

The Faculty of Applied Sciences offers a three year undergraduate degree program in Mathematics which endeavours to impart within the students an understanding of the logical, conceptual, theoretical, analytical and deductive skills in mathematics. The program is uniquely designed to develop and sharpen the problem solving traits of the each student, through the application of mind.  The faculty is equipped with elite league of lecturers and teaching resources from the wold’s most renowned IIMs and IITs who provide our students with a highly personalised academic experience. The curriculum is strategically designed to instil within the students an understanding of the fundamental concepts of mathematics such as calculus, trigonometry, algebra, geometry, statistics and various logical theories. The learning methodology is based on the practical application of mind on the real time issues which are affecting the world today and how students can work towards mitigating these issues. The program offers an interdisciplinary approach which allows students to relate their mathematical skills with other disciplines of science and engineering. Beyond the scope of the academics, the Faculty goes on to focus on developing the aptitude of the students, along with other relevant interpersonal skills to develop trained individuals with the career competencies in the stock market, corporate sector, industrial sector, military, computer programming and educational firms.

This therefore provides a pool of opportunities for graduates of this program. The program gives students the ability to apply mathematical skills in an interdisciplinary approach, thus allowing for flexibility in between various sectors. PU always strives to step foot beyond the regular horizons of academics by conducting workshops and expert talks. These sessions introduce students to a whole new world of hands on practice and in depth knowledge of the syllabus. In line with this, our students pursuing Applied Chemistry were involved in- 1. A one day state level seminar on "Emanating aspects in Chemical Sciences" 2. Workshop at sophisticated Instrumentation Center for Applied Research & Testing at Anand, Gujarat.

Science Vibe – 2019

The faculty of Applied Science celebrated National Science Day on 15th March, 2019 by organizing Science Vibe event. The event covered various competitions like Working Model Presentation, Poster Presentation, Scientific spot photography, Quiz, Science Game, etc. There were 468 participants from various branches of Parul University.

Dhoom 2020

Parul University's annual festival which is a celebration of cultural diversity and features a platform for students' creative expression. For Applied Science students the platform developed and shaped their interpersonal skills and personal confidence to match the needs of the industry and enhance their employability.
