About M.Tech Geotechnical Engineering

Geotechnical Engineering is a branch of Civil Engineering and is offered as a masters degree program after having graduated as a Civil Engineer. It is associated to the engineering behavior of the earth and its materials. This branch of engineering helps in construction activities on the surface of the Earth and also in mining and drilling sites. Parul University offers a two year masters degree in this field where the students are guided about the soil classification. The prospective students also learn about the design and construction of buildings, bridges, tunnels, reservoirs, jetties and oil platforms amongst others. Besides, students are imparted a hands on training on analysis, design and construction of various foundations.
