About M.Tech Thermal Engineering


Thermal engineering is a branch of mechanical and chemical engineering which is associated with the movement of heat energy and transfer. A good understanding of this field is required in designing evaporator coil, compressor, condenser and insulation used in air cooling devices. Parul University offers a two year masters program in Thermal Engineering which imparts students the comprehensive understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and mass transfer. Our highly trained faculties form renowned Institutions such as IITs and NITs, nurture and develop the students’ vital knowledge along with the most essential industrial competencies. Pursuing this program will provide students with the ability to navigate the various career avenues open in this field. Seminar on Futuristic Trends in Natural Fibre Composites and its Application

Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a GUJCOST sponsored one day seminar on "Futuristic Trends in Natural Fibre Composites and its Application" on January 4, 2019. The seminar was organized with an aim to disseminate fundamental knowledge pertaining to the recent and futuristic trends in the field of Natural Fibre Composites.

Workshop on Wind Tunnel Experiments Techniques and Applications

Under Industry Defined Research Project titled 'To Reduce Water Consumption and Optimize Efficiency of Thermal Power Plants by Using Air Cooled Condensers' funded by Royal Academy of Engineering ,UK under Newton Bhabha Fund, Parul University had jointly with L&T and University of Surrey organized Workshop on 'Wind Tunnel Experiments- Techniques and Applications' on 17th March 2018.

Expert talk on “Awareness on Cleaner Production”

The Chemical Engineering Department of Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology Diploma Studies under IGBC-student chapter had organized an expert talk on AWARENESS ON CLEANER PRODUCTION for the final year students of diploma and degree Chemical Engineering students and Mechanical Engineering students. Mr. Abhi Patel and Ms. Tarjani Jani, Asst. project engineer from Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre, Gandhinagar had delivered the talk. They presented the importance and need of cleaner production in the industrial field and discussed the case study of different industrial sectors where they had incorporated the cleaner production scheme.

Expert Lecture On Calibration Of Equipment

Mr. Riyaz Khan, Manager of POLYCAB WIRES delivered an expert lecture on 2nd August 2016 on CALLIBRATION OF EQUIPMENT. He explained about the measurement parameters, specific ranges, and accuracy requirements. He summarized the workshop with Test/measurement and calibration of equipment system.
