Leprosy Day

On 30-1-2019 leprosy awareness programme was organized by department of swasthavritta, Parul Institute of Ayurved & Research to educate the public about prevention and control measures of leprosy. Programme conduction carried by Dr. Archana .V. Panchaxarimath HOD Department of swasthavritta. Dr. B.G.Kulkarni Principal PIA&R addressed the gathering. Dr.Rakesh.M.Pathak Prof. Department of swasthavritta delivered speech on leprosy in Gujarati language. All the faculties and consultants graced the occasion with their presence, more than 70 people of Ishwarapura got benefited by the programme. Dr. Ramen.Santra. Asst Prof. department of swasthavritta proposed the vote of thanks.

Shishyopanayan Samskara

Shishyopanayan is one of the traditional samskaras that marks the acceptance of a student by a guru and an individual’s entrance to a school. Parul University of Ayurveda and Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research, constituent institutions of Parul University, follow the same system in welcoming the newly admitted students by conducting Shishyopanayan. Parul Institute of Ayurved and Parul Institute of Ayurveda and Research conducted Shishyopanayan on January 3, 2019 during which Holy Hawan was performed with chanting of shlokas from Veda. About 250 under graduate and post graduate students along with Principals of ayurved institutions and teachers from Faculty of Ayurved took out rally across the whole campus with an aim to promote Ayurveda and Its Uniqueness.
Later in the day, Dr.Gaurang Joshi, Renowned Ayurved Practitioner in Rajkot, conducted Guest Lecture for the newly admitted under graduate and post graduate students and urged them to adopt ayurveda practice in place of integrated practice. Dr.Devanshu Patel, President, Parul University; Dr.Komal Patel, Member, Governing Body; Dr.Hemant Toshikhane and Dr.B.G.Kulkarni, Principals of Parul Institute of Ayurved and Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research addressed the gathering with motivational speeches.

World Piles Day

World Piles Day was celebrated at Khemdas Ayurved Hospital on 20th November 2018. A camp was organised for the patients giving free consultation, check-up, investigation and surgical procedure. The patients who visited the camp were informed about the piles, its causes symptoms, treatment options of precautions. The Ayurvedic treatment for piles was explained in detail to the patients and the benefits for opting Ayurvedic treatments. Proper check-up of the patients were performed in Shalya OPD of Khemdas Ayurved Hospital. 3 patients were admitted for further managements. Free blood investigation was performed the next day and operation procedure was done on 22nd November 2018 free of charge.

National Ayurved Day

Ayurveda is most ancient well documented system of medicine in practice since ancient era to today’s modern days. Ministry of Ayush observes “National Ayurveda Day” on every year the day of ‘Dhanvantari Jayanti’ Dhanatrayodashi). Ayush Institutes at Parul University observed “AYURVED DAY” with a motive to promote Ayurveda as a primary mode of treatment and also to make people at large aware about the strengths of Ayurveda Medicine.

The students also arranged a rally in Vadodara city, to create awareness about Ayurveda to the public. The rally was co-hosted by Himalaya drug company; Approximately around 500 students took part in the rally so conducted.

Environment Day Celebration– 2018

World Environment Day was celebrated at Parul Institute of Ayurved & Research, PARUL UNIVERSITY on 5th of June 2018. Morning 11.30 onwards we the staffs and students of PIAR have started planted 60 new medicinal plants.
From 12 to 1 pm a lecture was conducted by Dr.Bhavin Asst professor Dpt of Dravya guna on “Beat plastic pollution” for the health seekers of Kemdas hospital. 60 patients and all the college staffs were present for the same. The management, respected principal sir and all the professors and all teaching staffs have given full support to the program and made it a grant success I take this opportunity to thank them all for their support and co-operation.

Gurupoornima – 2018

Gurupoornima has celebrated on 27 th July, 2018 at Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research at 04:00 pm in Lecture hall No.1. The function commenced with Dhanwantari prayer by Ms.Anjali Brahmbhatt and lighting the lamp by Dr. Manisha Dunghav, Dr. Madhavi Hebli, Dr. Sarita Ohol and Dr. Anita Joshi. The Function was anchored by Dr. Shyamasundaran K and coordinated by Mr. Tejas Vyas. Dr.Manisha Dunghav, Dr. Madhavi Hebli, Dr. Prasanna Mathad spoke on the importance of Guru and how they influence in life. The students of 1st year BAMS, PIAR also spoke on the occasion. The function was concluded by rendering of vote of thanks by Dr. Ravi B Joshi.

World Oral Health Day Celebration

A session was conducted for the present outpatients and inpatients of Khemdas Ayurved Hospital, by the Shalakya Tantra Department, on 20 th March 2018 at 10.30a.m on occasion of World Oral Health Day to educate and spread awareness regarding the importance of oral health. The Session was conveyed by Dr.Eshwari, HOD, Dept of Shalakya Tantra. Proper brushing technique was taught by a live demo. An Oath Taking was conducted in the colloquial language to make all the patients (including tobacco users) pledge of not using tobacco in any form for the good health of themselves and people around them. A positive response was obtained from the patients. Session was concluded and on disperse there was free distribution of Ayurvedic tooth powder-Dashana Samskara Choorna done to the patients, free of cost.

World Environment Day Celebration

Parul Institute of Ayurved & Research, a constituent institution of Parul University, celebrated World Environment Day in collaboration with Himalaya Drug Company on the theme “Connecting People to Nature” on June 5, 2017 by organizing an event at Khemdas Ayurved Hospital. Dr.Komal Patel, Trustee, Parul Arogya Seva Mandal Trust, Dr. B.G.Kulkarni, Principal, Parul Institute of Ayurved & Research, Dr.Rekha Parmar, Professor and Head of the Department of Dravyaguna in Parul Institute of Ayurved, Dr.Samir Chauhan, Manager-Scientific Services, Himalaya Drug Company graced the occassion with their august presence and also delivered talks on orienting people towards healthy lifestyle by adopting Ayurved & Yoga. Faculty members and students of ayurveda participated enthusiastically in the event.

World Heart Day Celebration

Parul Institute of Ayurveda & Research celebrated World Heart Day on September 29, 2017 at its Ishwarpura Campus. Ayurveda Practitioners of PIAR conducted talks for villagers residing in Ishwarpura making them aware about various heart diseases and treatments available in treating patients suffering from heart diseases.

National Children’s Day Celebration

Parul Institute of Ayurveda & Research celebrated National Children’s Day on November 14, 2017 at its Ishwarpura Campus by inviting children from various aanganwadis, their parents and teachers of these aanganwadis in the august presence of Dr.B.G.Kulkarni, Principal, Parul Institute of Ayurveda & Research and Dr Sarita Ohol, Head of the Department of Kriya Shareera (Physiology), PIAR. Dr.Deepthi Viswaroopan, Assistant Professor, Department of Kaumarabritya (Pediatrics) and Dr. Zeel Patel, 1st year PG Scholar, Department of Kriya Shareera conducted a session on “Importance of Good Habits and Good Manners” for these school children using audio-visual aids. The Children also played various games and sang rhymes praising the importance of cleanliness and patriotism. Department of Kaumarbritya in Parul Institute of Ayurveda & Research also conducted free health check-up camp for these students and provided them medicines free-of-cost.
