Summer/Winter schools help students when overseas to develop their academic & professional vocabulary to help support them in writing essays/projects and thesis. Moreover, students equally gain excellent exposure as they take a degree/certificate in a subject they have not studied before.

Summer/Winter Schools also enable not just students but Institutions as well to pursue their strategic institutional interests in a particular region/center of professional.

Addressing these modern global academic needs of budding professionals of tomorrow, Parul University organizes International Summer Schools for four to eight weeks for its partner Universities-Colleges during February every year, and June 2016 onwards.

Visiting students have a comprehensive experience package of classroom learning with Credit transfers, industry visits, and excursions to historical places, relishing diverse Indian cuisines of North, South, East and West regions. Visiting Professors-Staff engage with Parul students & staff to gain an alternate perspective to teaching, training & academic culture of India.

Similarly, students from Parul Campus as well actively participate in Study Tours and Summer Schools at partner Universities-Colleges in Europe, North America and South East Asia – gaining international exposure – here too they get necessary Credit transfers, excursions to places of interest and equally enjoying local delicacies! Parul Campus Professors visiting partner Universities engage with their students & diverse staff to gain alternate perspectives to teaching, training & academic culture outside India.

Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, Canada- ISS 2019

Parul University has organized the Indian Summer School for the period of 01 Month from 10th June 2019 to 9th July 2019 in which 6 Students from Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, Canada had participated along with the students of Parul University.

In this one-month exchange program; the participants studied courses on the topics like Indian Culture & Cross Cultural Communication. Students were taken for visit to local attractions like Champaner Fort and Laxmi Vilas Palace along with Swaminarayan Temple (Poicha), Goraj Muni Seva Ashram, Adalaj Stepwell and Gandhi Ashram .They also explored few historical places across India like Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, etc. The students participated in the Cultural sessions and activities such as Rangoli, Mehndi, Indian Costumes, Indian Dance, Celebration of Indian Festivals and Indian Cuisine.

Wroclaw University of Science & Technology, Poland

Parul University has organised the Indian Summer School for the period of 01 Month from 4th to 28th February 2019 in which 02 students from Wroclaw University of Science & Technology, Poland had participated along with the students of Parul University.
In this one-month exchange program; the participants pursued short courses on the topics: – Indian Culture & Cross Cultural Communication. Students were taken to visit some local attractions like Champaner Fort and Laxmi Vilas Palace along with Swaminarayan Temple (Poicha), Goraj Muni Seva Ashram, Askhardham Temple and Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad. They also participated in Cultural sessions and activities such as Rangoli, Mehndi, Indian Costumes, Indian Dance, Celebration of Indian Festivals and Indian Cuisine.

Indian Summer School for the faculty of Computer Science Engineering – 2019

Parul University has organized the Indian Summer School for the period of two weeks from 4th to 16th February 2019 in which 02 students along with 01 professor from Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, Russia had participated along with 05 students from Parul University.
In this two weeks exchange program; the participants pursued short courses on the topic “Internet of Things” along with practical sessions on LED blinking, Soil Sensor/ Bluetooth using Arduino with C Programming , flashing micro python in Node MCU . Participants were taken for visits to some local attractions like Laxmi Vilas Palace and Swaminarayan Temple (Poicha). They also participated in Cultural sessions and activities such as Rangoli, Mehndi, Indian Costumes, Indian Dance, Celebration of Indian Festivals.

Indian Summer School for the faculty of Social Work – 2019

Parul University has organised the Indian Summer School for the period of two weeks from 4th to 16th February 2019 in which 12 students along with 04 professors from Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland; 02 students along with 01 professor from HES-So Fribourg University, Switzerland; and 01 professor from Instituto Superior Técnico- Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal had participated.
In this two weeks exchange program; the participants pursued short courses on the topics:- Rural Development , Corporate Social Responsibility Introduction to NGOs and Social Problems in India & Switzerland . Participants were taken for visit to the NGOs- Goraj Muni Seva Ashram, Xavier’s Green School and local villages along with some local attractions like Laxmi Vilas Palace and Swaminarayan Temple (Poicha).

International Art and Sculpture Fest -2019

Parul University had organised “International Art and Sculpture Fest” for the period of two weeks 3rd Feb to 17th Feb 2019 . Renowned 19 artists from across the globe were invited . It was an excellent opportunity for the Students and Faculties to work and learn under the mentorship of these 19 artists from countries like Netherlands , Canada, Belgium , USA , Turkey , Chile , Uganda , Argentina , Germany , Mexico , UK , China , Spain , Rwanda , Australia , etc. It was a good mix of talents from various countries.

Objective of this ART & SCULPTURE Fest was to produce art as social intervention, to inspire awe and joy, to educate, and to alter attitudes of viewers, ultimately creating meaningful Ideas .

Internship Programs

Nursing Internship Program

Two students from Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland arrived at Parul University campus on 5th August, 2018. They were welcomed in Indian tradition by the IRC team, and Program coordinators, Parul University.
The students were taught both theoretical and practical aspects of their internship curriculum subjects by the professors of Parul University and health care personnel of Parul Sevashram Hospital in all areas of health care which includes medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, Pediatrics, and Emergency & ICU.

During their clinical hours, students were also allowed to have hands on practice. The schedule also covered practical and experiential session to enhance their learning on Indian Culture.
Students were also taken to visit different health care facilities to gain in-depth knowledge of their working system and staffing system including multi specialty corporate hospital, Trust Hospital, Hospital managed by NGO and Primary Health Center.

Young Entrepreneur Exchange Project 2018

At Parul University, we aim to develop Young Entrepreneurs capable of applying their talents around the world.
13 students and 05 Professors from Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland and Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic are at Parul University, India for a three weeks intensive programme wherein they shall work with Indian students on five different start-up ideas based in the Indian market scenario.
Parul University hosted an Industry Meet to connect Industry and Academia. This Industry Meet was graced by the presence of delegates from start-ups, Multi-National Companies, Entrepreneurs and all the participants of Young Entrepreneur Exchange Project. This meet provided a platform to eminent people from the corporate world to share their knowledge and experience with other industries as well as the students.
Students were taken to visit to some local attractions like Champaner Fort and Laxmi Vilas Palace along with Swaminarayan Temple (Poicha), Gandhi Ashram, Refinery Temple and Gurudwara .
They also participated in Cultural sessions and activities such as Rangoli, Mehndi, Indian Costumes, Indian Dance, Celebration of Indian Festivals.

Humber College, Canada-2018

A group of 6 students from Humber College, Canada visited Vadodara to participate in recently organized ‘Indian Summer School 2018’ by Parul University. This short-term program popularly known as summer or Cultural Exchange program exposes the students to an intensively designed session that increases their understanding of our rich cultural heritage, communities and languages. Here students were encouraged to get engaged in sessions focusing independent stay, language skills, community service and cultural activities.
During this one month exchange program, which started on 3rd June and concluded on 1st July 2018, they were taught about different Indian cultures, Indian Politics, the Indian educational system, traditions and customs. Essentially taking holistic approach for covering the Indian Culture. Students were taken to visit some local attractions like Champaner Fort and Laxmi Vilas Palace along with Swaminarayan Temple (Poicha), Goraj Muni Seva Ashram, Askhardham Temple and Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad.
During their 3 day trip, the group of student visited the important landmarks of Delhi like the India Gate, the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, the Lotus Temple and Humayun’s tomb. They also went for a day trip to Agra to see Taj Mahal, one among the Seven Wonders of the World.
These students undertook different projects along with examinations for the two subjects and were accompanied by Indian students who were also a part of this program.

Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), Bern, Switzerland

Parul University has signed an MoU with Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), Bern, Switzerland on 31st January 2017. The purpose of the Agreement is to promote scholarly exchange and international understanding by stimulating and supporting academic and intercultural activities between students from Switzerland and India.
Therefore, both parties undertake to promote and develop cooperation with various activities on the basis of equality and reciprocity such as Exchange of faculty and administrative staff members, Exchange of undergraduate and graduate students (Semester exchange, Summer school), Exchange of academic information and publications, Conducting of colloquia, lectures and seminars , Cooperation in research and the presentation of results and Other forms of cooperation mutually agreed upon by both universities.
Ms. Debra Ali-Lawson, Professor in Intercultural and International Management and Head of BBA International Programme & Ms. Jacqueline Buerki, Head of International Office were visited Parul University from 30st January 2017 to 6th February 2017. The purpose of the visit was to sign an agreement between both the Universities and discussing Young Entrepreneur Exchange Project International Summer School (YEEP ISS). The purpose of the YEEP International Summer School is to Mobilize young Indians, BFH and BFH partner students with innovative business ideas, Develop an entrepreneurial culture in all areas of study (teaching/learning) at both institutions, Encourage and support new start-ups through an entrepreneurial network, Provide opportunities for intercultural learning and capacity building and Drive economic growth by promoting entrepreneurship in and between India and Switzerland. YEEP ISS Participants will get the following benefits

Under this YEEP ISS, Parul University is hosting approximate 15 to 20 students and two delegates from BFH, Bern, Switzerland in the month of August 2017.

Wroclaw University of science and technology,Poland

Parul University recently organized ‘Indian Summer School’ collaborating with ‘Wroclaw University of science and technology,Poland.
Indian Summer School is a short-term exchange program also known as summer or cultural exchange program. These focus on homestays, language skills, community service, and cultural activities. The students are exposed to an intensive program that increases their understanding of other cultures, communities, and languages.

11 students from Wroclaw University of science & technology came under Indian Summer School for one month student exchange program from 3rd Feb to 4th march 2017. They were taught about different Indian Culture, Traditions and Customs along with Academics. Moreover they were also taught about Indian festivals, Indian martial arts, Yoga, Indian clothing as well as Indian Performing arts.Students were taken to some major attractions like Champaner Fort and Laxmi Vilas Palace along with Swaminarayan Temple(Poicha),Goraj Muni Seva Ashram and Gandhi Ashram,Ahmedabad.

A trip of 3 days to Delhi and Agra was arranged for students interested.They were given study leave and regular exams were taken as planned by the University.

Humber College, Canada & University of Transport Technology, Vietnam

Seventeen Students from Humber College(Canada) and University of Transport Technology Hanoi(Vietnam) are at Parul University Campus 3rd June ’16 onwards for 4 weeks’ and 8weeks’ Indian Summer School/s(ISS), students from both education institutions will study ‘Indian Culture & Traditions’ and ‘International Business Management’, followed by an in depth ‘English Language Training’ program esp. for students from Vietnam.
These students are at PU campus as part of their Exchange-Academic initiatives as mutually agreed in respective MoUs.
This event was graced by presence of Hon. Mr. Tran Quang Tuyen, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission of S. R. of Vietnam in India who fondly recollected India-Vietnam relations and encouraged similar academic initiatives like ISS.
