PU organizes Maadhyam the first ever Media Fest on its campus

A famous writer once said that creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought and this is true, PU’s Maadhyam event was a true display of everything vibrant. The event was organised by the students for the students, and this was the first of its kind to take place on the campus. The three day event was organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication with the aim to encourage the up-and-coming journalists of the country to be aware of and to be vocal against the modern world reality. Time and again the university has been creating diverse ways in which its students can participate in talent stimulating activities.

The event did not only host students from PU but also other students from across the city. Over 5000 viewers were present which made the day spectacular. Furthermore, the event welcomed various media personalities to come inspire and interact with the students. The eminent guests included Mr. Shoab Khan Principal Correspondent, The Times of India,Mr. Nirnay Kapoor Sr. Associate Editor, Ms. Preeti Das Co-Founder, Mahila Manch, Former Journalist Mr. Amit Dave Chief Photographer, Vaishal Shah Film Producer of Chello Diwas, Jay Bodas FIlm Director, Vivek Keluskar Cartoonist, Vashishth Shukla Editor in chief, Nation Plus, RJ Puja Associated with Radio Mirchi 98.3, RJ Kabir Associated with Red FM 93.5, RJ Mayank Associated with My FM 94.3.

With the aim to test the creativity, intellectual powers, and conceptualization  of the aspiring students, the event was an amalgamation of 12 competitions displaying creativity in the fields  of photography, quizzes, videography, elections, plays, comedy, impersonation amongst others. To add the cherry on top, the winning participants were provided with various cash prizes in appreciation of their outstanding performances. Maadhyam provided a platform to students to display their talent. Students displayed vibrancy, enthusiasm and above all the creativity, which was easily the highlight of the Media Fest. "It is my pleasure to be here on this campus, i believe all the participants are winners and they all did wonderfully, it is my desire to witness more youngsters in this generation pursuing careers in the field of media” shared Paresh Vyas, Founder Sujal Advertisers.
