PU’s Centre of Research for development bags project Grant worth 18.32 Lacs

Gaining knowledge is an infinite process that makes the world a better place than it was yesterday. With this at hand, PU is dedicated to instilling the culture of Research amongst its faculties and students. The university has been continuously providing enriching platforms that give the students exposure to groundbreaking insights. Recently PU’s Centre of Research for Development received a  project grant of Rs 18.32 Lacs to further the scope of research. The grant was sanctioned by the ICMR under the HRD Scheme, young scientist Award. Dr. Mukul Jain Research Associate and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, along with other team members have successfully executed this project.

The research project is based on the title “Understanding the Mechanism of AMPK dependent regulatory pathway in the regulation of Huntington's polyQ aggregates degradation”. These groundbreaking innovations will contribute solutions to the current issues being faced by society while at the same hand storing knowledge for future generations. Over the past years, the Centre of Research for Development has worked on extramural projects that have secured over 6 crores worth of grants from leading organizations and institutions across the globe. To a great extent, this will also enable the faculties to expand on the intramural research projects that involve the filling, and publication of patents & copyrights.
