A shining outcome of this vision is Bhumi Mishra, a B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student from Parul Institute of Technology and a member of the UPSC Marathon Batch of CEC, who has been conferred with the prestigious Sushma Swaraj Award for the Best Female Parliamentarian at the National Youth Parliament 2025: Speak to Lead Summit, held at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, Nagpur, on 29th and 30th May.

The National Youth Parliament is a premier platform that simulates real-time parliamentary procedures, encouraging youth to engage with policy-making and governance. Competing among some of the brightest young minds from across the country, Bhumi showcased exemplary leadership, clarity of thought, and persuasive communication throughout the two-day event. Serving as the Chief Whip of the Ruling Party, Bhumi played a pivotal role in the successful deliberation and passage of two key simulated bills addressing regional development and national integration.

With the guidance of Mr. Noman Kasmani, Manager, CEC, and the constant support of her mentors at PU, Bhumi emerged as a confident and articulate leader, earning praise from the jury and fellow participants for the depth, strategy, and oratory excellence of her performance. The award, named in memory of the iconic leader Smt. Sushma Swaraj comes with a cash prize and stands as national recognition of Bhumi’s potential in public leadership.
