Step Two

Registration Deadline

Final cut-off to register for PU-DAT 2026. Late applications are not accepted, so make sure your form is submitted and payment confirmed before this date.

Design Aptitude Test

An online entrance test that evaluates how you think - not what you already know. No prior design or drawing skill needed to clear the PU-DAT.

Portfolio Review

Shortlisted candidates upload a portfolio on the same portal, on the same day as the exam. This is not a test of technical drawing - show your curiosity.

Results & Shortlist

The Diploma is designed for students who want to enter the design industry directly after 10th standard – without waiting for Class 12. It is also suited to students seeking a focused, vocational, studio-led pathway into design without committing to a 4-year Bachelor’s.

Yes. Diploma graduates can apply for lateral entry to B.Des programmes at PID (subject to availability) or pursue an undergraduate degree at PID or another institution.

No. Year 01 (Foundation) develops visual thinking, drawing, and design fundamentals from the ground up. Students from all academic backgrounds are welcome.

₹1,79,000 per year, across 3 years in total. Merit-based scholarships are available based on PU-DAT performance.

The Diploma is a 3-year, hands-on, vocational programme beginning after 10th standard. The B.Des is a 4-year undergraduate degree beginning after 12th standard, with greater emphasis on theory, research, and broader specialisation. Both lead to industry careers; the Diploma is faster and more practice-led.

Yes. The final year (Year 03) includes a 2–3 month industry internship as an integral part of the curriculum.

Yes. The Diplomas are awarded by Parul University, which holds NAAC A++ accreditation – India’s highest grade. They are recognised by employers and support further study.
