Bachelor of Medical and Psychiatric Social Work (B.MPSW)
The Bachelor of Medical and Psychiatric social work (B.MPSW) course at Parul University prepares future professionals to address the changing needs of communities, and individual health and mental health problems.
It offers students the opportunity to develop an understanding of medical social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, counselling, community health and mental health, casework, and health and social systems. Bachelor of Medical and Psychiatric Social Work (B.MPSW)
By combining academic instruction with extensive field and clinical practice, the Bachelor of Medical and Psychiatric Social Work aims to prepare competent generalist social workers. Instruction takes place in Hospitals and Outreach. Fieldwork, excursions, and case studies are used to help students understand social and psychological aspects of health-related issues through counseling and supervised practice.
The social work component includes developing social work skills such as empathy, communication, counseling, and client advocacy. In addition, students gain the requisite skills and knowledge to provide holistic services to patients and communities while working in multidisciplinary health care settings.

Eligibility Criteria
Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) in any stream from any recognized board. Must be 17 years old as of December 31 of the year of admission. The candidate must produce a Government Medical Officer’s certified Medical Fitness Certificate. The eligibility criteria for Foreign Nationals are evaluated through the University Entrance Exam. Candidates must also submit an Equivalence Certificate of Eligibility from the State Allied and Healthcare Council. Before admission, the candidate’s Valid Student Visa must be verified by the concerned institution and the University. The candidate’s home country/state’s tuition fees are determined based on the qualifying exam.
