Chromatography is one of the most important testing methods in pharmaceutical research. In simple words, it separates the different parts of a mixture.

In high-performance liquid chromatography, a liquid sample passes through a special column. Different substances move at different speeds. The machine shows them as peaks on a graph.

Students learn how to prepare the liquid used in the test, filter the sample and understand the graph.

Even small mistakes can disturb the result. Air bubbles, dirty glassware, wrong pH or incorrect measurements can affect the test. This teaches students to be patient and careful.
