About Computer Science and Engineering with Blockchain Technology

The growing scope of technology and the various forms of innovations which have been on a constant level of evolution and development which has opened up new and endless streams of digital breakthroughs. In the present times, the development of decentralized appications and data storage involves an emerging technology called the block chain. The Faculty of Engineering's department of Computer Science Engineering offers a four year bachelors specialisation in Block Chain Technology which emphasizes on the functional and operational aspects of the cryptocurrency systems. The curriculum and modules of this program have been developed in such a way which provides the students with an enriching exposure into the scope of this industry. The Faculty has been equipped with state of art facilities and laboratories for students to explore their endless skillsets which prepares students to drive developments in block chain architecture and programming to mention a few, which strengthens the knowledge of the students in this promising and revoutionary technology. The Faculty is also equipped with a supercomputer facility which allows the students to efficiently develop networks and IT systems, during their project works, in preparation of their contribution to the industry.

Its being used at a global level in insurance, financial services, health care, supply chain, IOT, etc. which has urged huge companies to shift to blockchain platforms. Blockchain rose to prominence due to its primary application in bitcoins, Ethereum, etc., however its now expanding its utilization in areas of time stamping, logging of critical events, transactions and e-governance as well.
