About MBA Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation

With the growing scope in the modern financial sector as a result of digital technology, there has been an increasing demand of experts equipped with a high degree of financial literacy. Forensic accounting is often used in fraud and embezzlement cases to provide the background of the court case. Tracing funds, due diligence reviews, and asset identification are part of the process and are used to establish damages for accurate reporting and to submit an insurance claim. The Faculty of Management offers a 2-year Masters specialisation in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation which seeks to impart within the students the necessary skillsets regarding the scope of the field. Forensic accountants apply special skills in accounting, auditing, finance, quantitative methods, certain areas of the law, research and investigative skills to collect, analyze and evaluate evidential matter and to interpret and communicate findings. The curriculum of this program has been strategically developed so as to cover brief orientation of financial market, financial services, micro finance, rural banking, mutual fund, insurance service risk management in banks and portfolio management. The Faculty of Management seeks to provide the students with the most enriching practical experience therefore the students throughout their course, get to engage with numerous industries as well as conduct various forms of research based studies so as to learn to the contemporary trends in the markets.
