About Master of Public Health (MPH)

The Master of Public Health program is a 2 year post graduate course which focuses in an array of specialisations, through research and field training aimed at developing within the students a mastery of the field. The emergence of Universal Healthcare, as the need of the hour towards providing the essential health services to each and every individual today's time, has placed public health students on the vital role of bridging this gap. The Faculty of Public Health offers this degree program which is designed to develop public health experts with the practical expertise and managerial skillsets which is essential to navigate the scope of the global healthcare. The program is aimed at nurturing public health personnel with the expertise in related areas of community health including disease characteristics, their prevention and control, management in crisis situations, forecast strategic disease prevention policies, quality assurance & regulatory affairs. As a way of promoting a culture of research, the Faculty of Public Health is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities which allow students to explore the various aspects related to the field. A cadre of trained public health professionals in the country are prepared through training by in-service health professionals and can look forward to career prospects such as Public Health Doctor, Public Health Consultant, Medical Director, Management Policy Advisor, Legislative Policy Advisor, Public Health Veterinarian amongst others. Through the expert guidance from an elite league of faculties the Faculty of Public Health goes on to teach and groom students in areas of various professional skills and career oriented abilities in preparation for their future careers.
