NCC Cadets Who Earned National Recognition in 2024-2026

Dheeraj Singh, an Air Force Cadet Senior Under Officer, joined the Republic Day Camp in 2021 and ended up being named the All India Best Cadet for the Senior Division (Air Wing). On January 28, he received the Prime Minister’s Baton and Medal straight from Shri Narendra Modi. He also picked up the Raksha Mantri Commendation Card and was chosen to represent India in Bangladesh for the Youth Exchange Program. That’s about as high an honor as an NCC cadet can earn at the national level. Currently, Dheeraj Singh is serving as a commissioned officer in the Indian Army.

Took part in the competition and got qualified in the GV Mavalankar, securing All India Rank 11, on 4 November 2024. Eventually getting selected as the Best Cadet for Gujarat Directorate (Air Wing) and received the Governor’s Award on 5th February 2025.

Cadet Samarth Kulkarni (Air Wing)

Gold Medal winner in intergroup sports shooting. Represented Gujarat at the Inter-Directorate Sports Shooting Championships. Cadet Under Officer Vivansh Pandey(Air Wing)

Selected for the Prime Minister’s Rally West Zone Marching Contingent in the Republic Day Camp 2025 and for the ADG Guard of Honour. He was then selected for the Air Force Station Attachment Camp, Darjipura 2025, where he was appointed Camp Senior and led the troops with distinction.

L/Cdt Shashank Sekhar Shukla (Navy Wing)

For RDC 2026, the Navy Wing cadet Shashank Shukla got selected. He worked with conviction and put out his efforts through exceptional discipline, leadership and dedication throughout training and national- level competitions. Through vigilance, he made an effort to participate in the overseas deployment program. And got selected on board in the Indian Coast Guard Ship from 3rd to 30th December 2025, getting an opportunity to visit Kuwait, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, gaining exposure to maritime security operations, international coordination, and naval diplomacy.

Cadet Rishabh Tripathi (Navy Wing)

Cadet Rishabh Tripathi, a Navy wingman, who got an opportunity to march on Kartavya Marg during the Republic Day Parade 2024. A proud moment for Parul University. Not only this, he also got appointed as the NCC Cadet Delegate to Vietnam under the Youth Exchange Program 2024-25. The two officers went with thirteen cadets to Vietnam from 5th to 14th August 2024, to promote camaraderie, cultural exchange, and naval training experience.

SUO Manvi Sinha (Army Wing)

Marching on the Kartavya Marg on RDC 2025 and as the drill contingent on the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Parade (SNIC 2024) is a great opportunity for the fresher army cadet, which was for SUO Manvi Sinha. From the four cadets, she was the one selected for Youth Exchange Program (YEP), Maldives, 2025-26 to represent India.

Parul University Graduates Commissioned Into the Armed Forces

Twelve Parul University graduates have been commissioned or are currently training as officers in the Indian Armed Forces:

  • Animesh Narayan (Tech CSE, Class of 2023): Joined the Indian Navy as an Executive Officer. Currently training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.
  • Jenishkumar Dangar (Tech CSE, Class of 2024): Joined the Indian Army as a Technical Officer in April 2025. Completed training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
  • Sujal Tiwari (Tech CSE, Class of 2025): Joined the Indian Navy as a Technical Officer. Training commenced June 2025 at INA Ezhimala.
  • Yuvraj Singh (Tech CSE, Class of 2025): Joined the Indian Navy as a Logistics Officer. Training commenced July 2025 at INA Ezhimala.
  • Shivum Javiya (Computer Science): The first student from Parul University to be selected in the Indian Air Force in the Flying Branch through the AFCAT examination. Currently training at the Air Force Academy.
  • Aniket Dnyaneshwar Khalse (CSE, PIT): Recommended through NCC Special Entry-123. Joining OTA Chennai.
  • Yash Chettri (Tech Aeronautical Engineering, PIET): Cleared SSC Tech-66 entry. Reporting to OTA Gaya for pre-commission training.
  • Akash Kumar (Tech Aeronautical Engineering, PIET): Recommended through NCC Special Entry-123. Joining OTA Chennai, April 2026 course All India Rank 2 in Merit.
  • Dhruv Rajpurohit (CSE, PIT): Secured selection through SSC Tech-66 entry. Joining OTA Gaya, April 2026.
  • Raghvendra Jha (Btech CSE): joined Indian Army as Technical Officer – SSC Tech 65 entry. Presently undergoing training at OTA Gaya.
  • Rishabh Tripathi (Btech CSE): Recommended for joining AirForce and Navy in the Flying Branch. He has cleared AFCAT, SSB and Medicals and is awaiting the final Merit list.
  • Kunjal Gosai (Btech Aeronautical): Recommended for joining Navy as Air Operations Officer. She is presently awaiting the final Merit list. Upon selection she will be the first from the university to join the ranks of ‘Brave Women Warriors’ in the services.

The Armed Forces Motivational Cell: In-House Preparation

Parul University’s Armed Forces Motivational Cell is a dedicated support system for students aspiring to join the defence forces. The activities of the cell are managed by two retired Defence Officers. The cell provides in-house preparation for Combined Defence Services (UPSC – CDS), AFCAT examination, SSB interview preparation for all the entries into the defence services including guidance for NCC Special Entry, Physical fitness training support, Communication skills development including Public Speaking and mentoring from retired Defence Officers familiar with the selection processes of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The NCC unit at Parul operates across Army, Navy, and Air wings, providing cadets with structured military training, discipline, leadership development, and opportunities to participate at national and international levels including the Republic Day Camp, Youth Exchange Programmes, and specialist attachment camps.
