Who Visits Parul University: The Chief Justice of India at VLF, MS Dhoni, a Nobel Laureate, a Former Taoiseach, Gujarat’s Largest Tech Fest.

The Vadodara Literature Festival (VLF) 4.0 was organised by Parul University in association with IIMUN. It was a three-day event attended by the esteemed speakers and leaders like the Chief Justice of India, filmmakers, authors, policymakers, and many such inspirational personalities. Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud made an important headline by focusing on how law brings impact in real life, and he discussed women seeking equal rights in the armed forces.

The events were attended by the screenwriters and creators of the movies. Like the Gujarati authors and creator of Draupadi. VLF had panel discussion on economy, policymaking, regional literature, and creative workshops in graphology and caricature, there was a culinary carnival and flea market too hosted by the university.  VLF is designed as a platform where literature, policy, science, and creative arts meet, creating the conditions for intellectual engagement that shapes how students think about institutions, citizenship, and their own responsibilities.

Parul University’s collaboration with the IIMUN Global Perspective Series welcomes state heads and Nobel Laureates. Their interaction with students was a learning lesson in becoming great leaders. Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Shirin Ebadi (Iran, 2003) spoke about human rights, the importance of education, justice, and the role of youth in making equality.

Leo Varadkar (Ireland), a former Taoiseach, attended the event, where he talked about leading the nation during crises like COVID-19 and how he strategised to help other nations too. He also mentioned Brexit and how youth are making a difference. The event also welcomed the former prime minister Rui Duarte De Barros (Guinea-Bissau), who mentioned the deep ties between India and Africa. He points out how crucial education is for building a nation from the ground up, talks candidly about the challenges of brain drain, and weighs in on the UN Security Council’s role in global affairs.

MS Dhoni never skips an opportunity to interact with young minds, and this is one of them. He felicitated the placed students at an event organised by Parul University on 2nd December 2025.

Lt. General Shokin Chauhan served as the chief guest for the 77th Republic Day celebration at Parul University. NCC cadets from the university marched on Kartavya Path during RDC 2025. The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Hardware Grand Finale was hosted at Parul University, selected by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE, providing a five-day national platform for innovation and technological excellence.

Parul University hosted Projections 2026 under the theme Mission Ctrl. It turned out to be a huge platform this year; more than twenty thousand participants attended the fest, coming from 140+ colleges and schools from different states and cities. Projections is recognised as Gujarat’s largest tech fest.

TechExpo 2026 brought 250+ project teams comprising 1,000+ students from universities across India, alongside 50+ industry representatives. Students showcased prototypes, technology-driven projects, and innovations, creating direct interaction between academia and industry.
