The support system

Six places to turn, whatever the problem is.

Most concerns never need to travel far. Between a mentor, a rector, a counsellor and the medical centre, almost everything gets resolved close to where it started.

01

Faculty Mentor

Every student is assigned a faculty mentor who tracks attendance, academic progress and how you are actually doing. Usually the first and fastest place to raise anything.

02

Hostel Rector

Rectors live on site in the residential zones and are reachable at any hour, including nights and weekends, for anything from a maintenance issue to a personal one.

03

INSIGHT Centre

The university's counselling and psychological wellness centre. Free one - on - one sessions, no referral needed, for anything from study pressure to homesickness.

04

Medical Centre

On-campus medical care day and night, with ambulance access and escalation to the university's own teaching hospital when specialist care is needed.

05

Security Control Room

A security team on duty 24 hours across the campus, with CCTV coverage, entry screening and night patrols through academic and residential zones.

06

Grievance Redressal

A formal route for anything that needs an official record and a tracked outcome, including the Internal Complaints Committee and the Anti-Ragging Committee.

It is okay to not be okay.

Harassment matters go to the Internal Complaints Committee, ragging to the Anti-Ragging Committee, academic matters to the faculty, and residential matters to the chief rector.

03

It gets an owner

Every complaint is logged and assigned to a named person responsible for resolving it, not to a general inbox.

What confidential actually means here.

Nothing you share is added to your academic record, and counsellors do not report session content to your faculty, your department or your family. The only exception is a rare situation where there is a serious and immediate risk to someone's safety, and even then your counsellor involves you in what happens next wherever possible.

Health and medical care

Medical help on campus, not a taxi ride away.

One of the practical advantages of a residential campus this size is that healthcare is on site rather than across town.

Experienced personnel

The security team includes retired police and armed forces personnel alongside trained campus security staff.

Coordination with local police

Ongoing coordination with Vadodara police and local authorities on campus safety and awareness programmes.

Emergency response

A clear escalation path from rector to security control room to medical centre, so nobody has to work out who to call.

Campus mobility

Internal e-bike transport across the campus so students are not walking long distances alone late at night.

Residences and daily life

Where 27,000 students actually live.

Residential safety

  • Separate residences for male and female students
  • Rectors living on site and reachable at any hour
  • Controlled entry, visitor rules and night attendance checks
  • CCTV in entrances, corridors and common areas
  • Maintenance and housekeeping with a logged request system

Exchange & mobility

  • An Internal Complaints Committee constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act
  • Confidential reporting that does not require going through a department first
  • Lit pathways and patrolled routes between residences and academic blocks
  • Women rectors and women security staff in the female residential zones

Anti-ragging

Ragging is prohibited under UGC regulations and university rules. Parul University has a constituted Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad, and the mandatory anti-ragging undertaking is signed at admission. Reports can be made anonymously and are acted on immediately.

Code of conduct

The campus operates a substance-free policy in line with Indian law, alongside rules on conduct, attendance and academic integrity. The point of the code is simple: everyone here is entitled to study without being disturbed, pressured or endangered by anyone else.

International students

Arriving from another country,
with people expecting you.

More than 6,000 international students from over 75 countries study at Parul University. The international office handles the practical parts of arriving, and stays the first point of contact long after orientation week is over.

Cultural societies, international food options across the campus food courts and a genuinely mixed student body mean the adjustment happens alongside people going through the same thing.

What the international office handles

01

Before you travel

Admission documentation, visa guidance and pre-departure information

02

Arrival and orientation

Airport pickup coordination, campus arrival, accommodation allocation and orientation.

03

Registration and compliance

FRRO registration, residence permit paperwork and renewals.

04

Through the year

A named team to approach for academic, personal, banking or documentation issues.

Raising a concern

What happens after you tell someone.

The most common reason students stay quiet is not knowing what a complaint sets in motion. This is the process.

01

Raise it

Speak to your mentor, rector or head of department, or submit it through the online grievance system. Anonymous reports are accepted.

02

Questions students and
families ask.

The campus runs a 24-hour security team with CCTV surveillance across 250 acres, screening at entry points and night patrols. Residences are separate for male and female students with rectors living on site. Alongside security, students have an on-campus medical centre, free confidential counselling, an Anti-Ragging Committee, an Internal Complaints Committee and a formal grievance process.

Yes, all counselling sessions, workshops, and mental wellness consultations at INSIGHT are completely free of charge and 100% confidential for all enrolled Parul University students.

No. What you share in counselling or support sessions is strictly confidential. Information is only shared if there is an immediate, serious risk of harm to yourself or others, as per safety regulations.

Once your admission and travel details are confirmed, submit your arrival flight itinerary to the International Office at least 5 days prior. An official campus vehicle will pick you up at Vadodara Airport/Railway Station.

Hostel gates close at 8:30 PM for campus safety. Students requiring late entry for academic projects, emergency medical care, or official university duties can obtain prior approval from their respective hostel rector.

Parul University enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against ragging and harassment. You can immediately report directly to the Anti-Ragging Committee or Internal Complaints Committee, or submit an anonymous report through the student portal.

Come and see it

The best way to judge a
campus is to walk it.

Visit Vadodara, see the residences and the medical centre, and ask the students who already live here. Campus visits run through the year and can be arranged around your travel.

  • Walk the residential zones and food courts
  • Meet the student welfare and international teams
  • Ask current students anything, without a script
