After morning sessions on microbial bioactives and engineered biofactories, the MNRDC research cadre (Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathore, Vishal Mehta, Meenu Khan, Anwesha Khanra, and Mohit Tannarana) ran three afternoon stations on SEM, microalgae, UV-FTIR, AFM, and sputtering.

In a one-day workshop on bio-foundry, Parul University’s students discovered the core science behind SCFAs, gut health and chronic diseases. Dr Gunjan Sharma of Gujarat Biotechnology University spoke to 17 Parul University students at a one-day workshop on microbial cells as green bio-foundries, including biofactories across 5 biological kingdoms. She explained the entire framework of bacterial, fungal, yeast, algal, and plant biofactories, biosynthetic gene clusters, the OSMAC approach, and holistic post-chemical thesis.
