Bachelor of Physician Associates

The Bachelor of Physician Associate (BPA) at Parul University aims to train skilled healthcare personnel to work as adjunct healthcare professionals collaborating with physicians on the diagnosis and management of patients in multiple clinical contexts. The BPA integrates the sciences, the art of clinical care, and the training of healthcare professionals for the support of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Students are trained in the fundamentals of the various healthcare and clinical sciences, as well as clinical procedures. This training is supplemented with numerous clinical rotations and hands-on training in hospitals.

The degree provides an avenue for successful employment in hospitals, multispecialty healthcare centers, community health services, and other medical and clinical practice areas, as well as numerous postgraduate and professional opportunities in allied health.

The Bachelor of Physician Associate (BPA) is a highly integrated program combining academic education with substantial clinical exposure. It is designed to prepare students for the modern day healthcare environment. Through the use of simulated learning, postings to real hospitals, clinical placements, case discussion and practice of clinical skills, students are well prepared to deliver healthcare services to patients.

The program helps to develop a variety of skills including, but not limited to clinical judgment, communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism and the ability to work as part of a team. It also reinforces the importance of a firm foundation of the evidence base and will ensure that the graduate is able to work effectively and competently in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Eligibility Criteria

10+2 (or equivalent) with PCB (in the case of Botany and Zoology) from a recognized board. The prospective candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December in the year of admission. A certified medical fitness is required. Admission for foreign national students relies on the University Entrance Examination. An Equivalence Certificate of Eligibility must be obtained from the State Allied and Healthcare Council. A student visa must be verified by the respective institution as well as the university prior to enrollment. Tuition may differ based on the country/state where the candidate took their qualifying examination.
