Student Startup Success Stories: How Parul University Students Built Real Businesses From Campus – Chips, Flights, Robots, Bio-Refineries, and SaaS Platforms

These are not famous entrepreneurs brought in from outside. These are students - from the same university, the same campus, possibly sitting in the same classrooms not long ago.

Campus Startups That Proved It Can Be Done

Crunchy Wavez: The Chips That Started on Campus

Built by 3rd-year Food Technology students, Crunchy Wavez is a food startup built around one simple idea: sun-dried Indian flavoured potato chips – not the regular oily packaged chips found everywhere, but something more authentic, more Indian, more homemade in its heart. They found a gap in the snack market, understood what Indian taste buds truly crave, and built a product around it. Their story showed Cohort that sometimes the best startup ideas are hiding right inside your kitchen. Whether you dream of becoming a software developer, engineer, innovator, or tech entrepreneur, the Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering prepares you to build a strong and future-ready career.

Fly Any Trip: Making Flying Affordable

Built by a graduate from the tech department, Fly Any Trip was born from a problem almost every student faces: flights are too expensive. They built a platform that helps people find and book flights at the cheapest possible rates. They did not invent something new – they made something existing work better and cheaper. Their journey proved that the best startups solve a problem a large number of people face every single day.

Algorian: Building With Technology

Algorian is a tech startup that showed Cohort what is possible when you combine technical skills with a real problem worth solving. Their story proved that you do not need a big team or big money to start in the tech space – you need clarity, skill, and the courage to build and put it out in the world.

Startups That Emerged From Cohort

Inno-Green: Bio-Refinery From Rice Straw

Founded by Anjali Gupta, Inno-Green focuses on creating a bio-refinery based on green chemicals derived from rice straw. Before joining PIERC, Anjali did not have much knowledge about entrepreneurship. During the 15-day programme, she learned how a revenue model works, what a lean canvas model is, and how to present startup ideas to investors. The mentors supported her through difficulties developing her business model. Integrated BBA-MBA at Parul University offers the perfect platform to build a strong academic foundation and prepare for a successful future in business and management.

Navonmesh: Autonomous Building-Cleaning Robot

Founded by Harsh Vardhan, Navonmesh is developing an autonomous robot designed to clean and paint high-rise building glass facades and walls – making the process much more efficient than traditional manual methods. He described the programme as extremely helpful, particularly sessions on lean canvas development, go-to-market strategies, financial modelling, and pitch deck preparation. Meeting other founders during the programme was very motivating.

Rencet Interactive: SaaS for Full-Stack Development

Founded by Aryan Tiwari, Rencet Interactive is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform providing tools for full-stack development. Before joining, Aryan had difficulty understanding aspects of the startup world. The programme helped him gain clarity about how different elements of a business come together. He appreciated being surrounded by individuals passionate about building startups.

External Students Who Chose PIERC Over Their Own Programmes

Students from outside Parul University attended Cohort – driven purely by curiosity and the desire to learn something real:

  • Sakshi Maheshwari from EDII – heard about PIERC through her network and found the combination of real mentors, tools, field visits, and pitching far exceeded expectations.
  • Sakhi Sharadkumar Mishra from Sumandeep College – chose PIERC because she wanted to be around people serious about building. The energy and quality of mentors confirmed her decision.
  • Khush, Kavya, Dhiptanshu, and Amulya from GLS University – described the programme as something that genuinely connected them to the startup world with practical tools they could immediately apply.
  • Vansh, Aastha, Ashwin, and Dhruv from GLS Faculty – said PIERC showed them what genuinely impactful startup education looks like when done with care, structure, and real commitment.

Every external student said the same thing: they would tell any friend curious about startups to come and experience PIERC – because there is a real difference between a programme you sit through and one that changes how you think.
