Juhi Lakhani, a student in Fashion Design and Technology at Parul University, started her journey with learning, practical work and chances to present her designs on larger platforms.
With support from mentors and faculty members, she improved her creative and technical skills. She learned different stages of fashion work, from garment development to ramp presentation. She also used her learning to create garments that were showcased at a fashion show in Nepal.
Juhi later presented her work at The Designers Award in Gandhinagar and won the title of Best Garment of the Year 2022 in the Emerging Designers category.
She said, “The practical exposure here, such as the opportunity to showcase work in-house and on big platforms, along with a positive academic environment, has played a vital role in enhancing my artistic abilities.”
Her achievement was not only about winning an award. It showed how regular learning, guidance and practical opportunities helped her become more confident as a designer.
