The Faculty of Performing Arts.
The Faculty of Performing Arts was initiated with the goal and objective of filling up the gap in the artistic education of India and across the world by offering various modules and programs that develop skills in performance-making for live stage and screen-based media.
Performing Arts is an integrated faculty that looks at the artistic expressions and the contexts of their Ancestral Wisdom, Parampara along with new innovations and Contemporary Performing Arts evolutions through the 20th and 21st century. The Faculty offers key creative areas which allow students to develop the essential skills to innovate contemporary and traditional practices in the fields of Dance, Music and Drama.

What programmes does the Faculty offer?
21 programmes across four levels: 3 Diplomas (Dance, Music, Drama), 4 Bachelor's (Dance, Music, Drama, Foundation), 3 Master's (Dance, Music, Drama), and 11 Certificate programmes across classical music, instruments, dance forms and acting.
What are the concentrations available?
Bachelor's and Master's concentrate in Dance (Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Contemporary or Folk), Music (Vocal or Instrumental) or Drama (Acting, Writing, Directing). The Bachelor's Foundation stream offers integrated exposure across all three disciplines.
Is there an audition or portfolio requirement?
Programme-specific. A counsellor confirms the exact audition or portfolio expectations for the concentration you apply to. Some concentrations require a live audition, others a video submission.
Do I need a performing arts background to apply?
Not for entry-level programmes. The Diploma and BPA are open to Class 10 (Diploma) or 10+2 (BPA) students from any stream and start from foundational technique. Prior training helps for concentration selection but is not a bar.
What kind of infrastructure do students train in?
Thirteen tribute-named studios and performance spaces on campus, including Pt. Birju Maharaj Nritya Niketan, Bharat Muni Theatre Studio, Pandit Jasraj Music Studio, Sebastian Music Studio, The Michael Jackson Dance Studio, Charlie Chaplin Creative Centre, plus recording, editing and film viewing rooms and an indoor and outdoor performance theatre.

What is the difference between the Bachelor's programmes?
BPA in Dance, Music or Drama concentrates in one discipline for three years. BPA in Foundation gives integrated exposure across all three disciplines. All four routes lead to the same eligibility for the Master's programme.
