About M.Des Digital Architecture


The scope of digital technology has opened up new streams of innovations which have been of great significance to the scope of architecture. As a way of equipping students with the much needed training in this field, the Faculty of Architecture offers a 2 year Master of Design program which seeks to provide students with the much needed expertise in this field. The scope of digital architecture has been designed in such a way which exposes students to digital media in the process of its architectural design. The program will teach students the various elements of design development, and detail designing of the architecture’s elements and structure. The program will expose students to some of the latest computer aided systems and softwares which allows the students to provide effective design solutions in dealing with and in executing architectural projects. The Faculty of Architecture has been equipped with state of the art facilities which provide students with the much needed practical training experience. Throughout this program the the students are also exposed to the various contemporary aspects through extensive projects along with field work practises.

With so many environmental hazards and disasters being encountered regularly, the former area planning is on a high demand, thus opening for the students new avenues for career opportunities.
