Philippines & Parul University - 5 Visiting Professors & Collaborations!
Under the International Visiting Professor Program, run by the Centre for International Relations and Research (CIRR), Parul University hosted a cohort of 26 professors from 15 countries over four weeks. Five came from the Philippines, from Romblon State University, Surigao del Norte State University, Northwest Samar State University, and Philippine Normal University, teaching across the faculties of law, liberal arts, management studies, and engineering and technology.
The academic partnership between the Philippines and Parul University
The Philippine cohort turned teaching into research relationships. Dr. Shenai Facto Juance of Romblon State University, who taught victimology at the Faculty of Law, opened discussions with Parul faculty on cross-cultural criminology studies and future exchange between Romblon State University and Parul University. Dr. Raymon P. Espanola of Surigao del Norte State University, whose lecture examined the psychology of the digital self, went further: he discussed concrete research collaboration with the psychology faculty, beginning with social-emotional learning and student mental health, shared his approach to curriculum development, and invited Parul faculty to give input on a new psychology program at his own institution, a genuinely two-way exchange.
The remaining visits broadened the partnership across disciplines. Dr. Donald M. Patimo of Northwest Samar State University taught digital transformation and digital entrepreneurship with a running comparison between Philippine and Indian digital practice, giving students an international frame for the subject. Dr. Malvin Rivera Tabajen of Philippine Normal University led a faculty development program on building sustainable, future-ready educational institutions. Dr. Alvin L. Dalisay of Romblon State University taught in the Faculty of Liberal Arts in his first international teaching engagement. Across law, psychology, management, and education, these professors have shared their learning experiences to the students of Parul University!
