How Literature Festivals Are Reshaping Academic and Cultural Life in India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 Cities, and What VLF 4.0 Proves About That Shift
For the better part of twenty years, the Jaipur Literature Festival has been the shorthand for what a literature festival in India looks like: Diggi Palace, international authors, a desert backdrop, and a ticket price that locates its audience somewhere above the median. This is a fine thing. It is also, increasingly, only one part of the story.
