The Faculty of IT & Computer Sciences's department offers a three year bachelor of science in Block Chain Technology  which emphasizes on the functional and operational aspects of the cryptocurrency systems. With the current times today, it has become of great imprortance for students to develop a fundamental understanding of the various streams in the growing scope of technology and the various forms of innovations which have been on a constant level of evolution and development this has opened up new and endless streams of digital breakthroughs. In the present times, the development of decentralized appications and data storage involves an emerging technology called the block chain. The curriculum and modules of this program have been developed in such a way which provides the students with an enriching exposure into the scope of this industry. The Faculty of IT and Computer Sciences has been equipped with state of art facilities and laboratories for students to explore their endless skillsets which prepares students to drive developments in block chain architecture and programming to mention a few, which strengthens the knowledge of the students in this promising and revoutionary technology. The Faculty is also equipped with a supercomputer facility which allows the students to efficiently develop networks and IT systems, during their project works, in preparation of their contribution to the industry.

Dharmik Savalıya, Computer Science Engineering Student was invited to San Francisco to attend the Facebook Developers Conference. He not only got an opportunity to interact with Zuckerberg, but also earned a scholarship worth $595.

Hackathon : Crime & Security 2019

Making use of Student Innovation to Combat Cyber Crime: With crimes taking different shapes and forms every passing moment, as a result of the ever advancing technology, the Vadodara City Police, in association with Parul University, took the initiative of organising a two day Hackathon on the subject of Cyber and Security. A group of 30 teams and 100 students took part in this 30 hour Hackathon, which was commenced on the 12th and was concluded on the 13th of September.

Microsoft .Net Technology

The department of Computer Science Application, organized a 10-day workshop on .NET technology. It was very significant in developing the students' basics from the experts regarding the vital elements of Microsoft technology. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Marmik Brahmbhatt, who is a Microsoft certified trainer and expert in .NET development.

Computer Science and Engineering had conducted an arrangement of one-day training program on 'Space Applications and Geo-Information' at Bhaskaracharya Institute For Space Applications And Geo-Informatics Centre, Gandhinagar.

Infosys visit

An industrial visit to Infosys, Pune was arranged by the Computer Engineering department to provide practical exposure to the students. The industrial visit was also aimed at strengthening the industry-academia ties. The industry academic exchange helped the institute and students to understand the demands of the industry. They also underwent a program called Spark during their visit to the Infosys campus.
